Hang him on my (desktop)wa-haha-ah-haha-aaaall! (/end gratuitous bowie reference ^.^)
Since I’ve recently changed my hair colour again (this happens semi-often) and got a chance to see the Scott Pilgrim movie over the weekend I thought I’d redo my Pilgrim Avatar to match it. Weee!
I just wish I coulda changed the colour of the cat to match Nibblr.
As for the movie, I enjoyed it immensely! So much so that I actually ended up seeing it twice in one day thanks to not everybody I had plans with being able to see the same showing that day, and I’m actually really glad it worked out that way!
Hours later I found myself thinking, “boy that was a good movie” in the same sort of way I’d think, “mmm that was a good sammich”.
Mmmm, that was a good movie sammich!
Two page spread! Many thanks to Giuseppina Magazine for publishing us! (You can purchase copies of the mag at that link by the way, hint hint)
The crowns used in these photos were some of the most fun I’ve ever had bending wire ever, and Danielle gives some of the best and clearest instructions of anybody I’ve ever worked with. It was really a joy to be included in making of these photos in even the smallest of ways. I’m super psyched that they’re now getting this sort of attention. These incredibly talented ladies really deserve it!
I’m going to borrow the embed from Nightshade’s deviantArt post for simplicity:

Here’s a dA post with a few more views of the White Queen’s crown (I didn’t quite get enough good shots of the Red One finished before it left my hands, might get around to that eventually).
Hurrah for Team Epic! I hope I get to work with these guys again soon. They’re mega-awesome. ^^
I’ve nearly got the new customizations finished. I’m trying to choose between a few options at the moment so please bear with me as things shift around for a while. I should have it all settled soon and if you’re reading my posts in a reader, you shouldn’t notice a thing.
I always intend to do these sorts of things in a test install but it never works out that way. Sometimes I need to see what it’ll do on the server before I know what I’m going to do with it. Currently I’m trying to choose between header image and no header image. Headers are pretty but the site loads super fast without them, and I’m kinda digging the background graphic more than the headers I made. I’ve tried to do something “illustrated” looking many times before but never quite managed it. It’s just typical that I started off going for a completely different look altogether and got that illustrated feel that previously eluded me.
If you have any thoughts let me know in the comments. I’m including a couple screenshots so you can see what I’m doing without having to click through to the site. I’m not terribly fussed about page views. ^^;
I’ve found a picasa plugin that I like and so now all I need to do is upload everything there and they’ll show up on the galleries page here automatically. Wee!
Hit the link in the menu above or click here to see them.
In case anybody’s curious I’m using the kPicasa plugin. Very simple to use, does exactly what I need it to. I might look into ways to style the output later but for now at least I’ll be able to display everything in an easy to browse way again.
Some lovely online pals of mine are having a Webcomics Convention! You should totally go!
Here we are on a nice fresh install! I still have a few things to import back (not posts though, I’ve decided to start fresh) so I’ll still be tweaking for a bit. I’ve really been looking forward to running the new version of WordPress after testing for a while. That install process just keeps getting simpler. I like!
