Is she fast enough for ya?

I’ve been trying to optimize the site as much as I can (best to try to keep on top of it as I go instead of all at once at the very end of developement) but I can’t quite tell if it’s doing any good. My internet service provider has been what I like to politely refer to as “flaky” the last 2 days, and net speeds are always a touch slower in Firefox on the Macbook, making it hard for me to tell if it’s actually optimized or if I happen to be checking during the 20 minutes out the whole day that my connection isn’t slow.

I optimized my tables in phpMyadmin, eliminated whitespace in my stylesheet using csstweak, and enabled gzip compression in the wordpress options (That’s under Options/Reading). I also removed a couple mission critical plugins, I had a couple things in there I was going to use to display my Etsy feed on a separate page but I don’t really need to do it that way anymore now that they’ve added Etsy mini.

If anyone reading isn’t too busy would you mind leaving a comment in this post and let me know if it seems like the site’s running either fast or slow (or neither for that matter). I do have a access to a windows machine I can test on but that doesn’t eliminate problems that I might be having with my service provider. I’d really appreciate it.

Cheers ^_^
