I’m testing a WordPress Dashboard widget so I thought I’d just jot a few things down.

1. On the subject of Dashboards, after a few weeks of seeing multiple duplicate incoming links on my Wordpress Dashboard Technorati seems finally to have gotten smart and truncated the results. It was so bad it actually broke the layout in my Dashboard for a while, the little boxes at the bottom were shifted around kinda funny.

2. We went to Ikea yesterday to pick up replacement parts for our bed-frame that we lost when we moved (and to pick up a box of vitamins my mom shipped out to us from the Greyhound station) and this time we actually took the time to eat in the cafeteria. I have concluded that it is totally worth it to take the confusing train/bus trip just for those lovely Swedish Meatballs with Potatoes. *Mmmm, taters precious* As a side note, we also picked up a $12 pair of new frying pans, a coffee plunger press (to replace our broken coffee maker), 2 large ceramic juice tumblers (for our summer ice tea drinking needs) and the cutest widdle $3 stuffed cat. The cat is just big enough to sit under my non-mousing hand while I’m working and make me feel a bit less lonely for our departed furbabys. It’s Like a stress-ball, but terribly cute.

3. I just wanted to mention that my host had some hardware troubles recently that may have had something to do with some major slowdowns on the site. I couldn’t tell if it was my internet or something on their end, but it was bugging me so much I nearly began the process of moving the site Elsewhere. Glad I waited, moving is a big pain in the butt and I don’t want to do it again for a while.

4. Lastly, I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for a wire wrapping podcast. Nothing special, just maybe a sort of primer for folks starting out. I can think of a few things I can talk about that might fill a few minutes that might otherwise take a long time to put across in writing. I need to do something to learn the software anyway since Jamie and I will be doing podcasts when our joint project is underway. Just audio, I’ve already had a little practice with iMovie and things like that, it’s Garage Band that I need to get the basics down on now. If you can think of any questions that you think I should cover I would really love it if you’d send them in (either by commenting or posting in the forum or something, or email if you prefer) and I will totally give you credit and plug your website. Jamie is doing a big stretch of shifts all in a row next week so I’ll probably do it sometime then. I feel a little funny recording stuff when I’m not home alone for some reason, at least when I’m doing all the talking. It’ll be different when we start doing recordings together.
