It’s like ACTUALLY having a toddler

Now that Nibblr (new spelling thanks to a fun conversation in jaiku) has fully settled into his new house and family, he’s got completely bats.

He woke us up a few times last night by loudly knocking the phone off the dresser, finally busting the battery right out of it. Finally we just shut him out of the bedroom, and I’m not sure he even complained, it was a little nuts. It wouldn’t have been a huge deal if James hadn’t worked 16 hours yesterday and was desperately trying to catch a measely 4 hours of sleep before going back for another 12 today.

Of course, I didn’t discover until this morning that he’d run out of his crunchies, so I suppose he could have been trying to tell us that the was hungry, but we didn’t exactly leave the bowl empty last night either so I’m not sure if that had much to do with it.

He’s also begun this new habbit of trying to bite me when I refuse to let him eat off my plate, which is definately not cute. He’s been a bit of a beggar for a while, but it got pretty nasty one night when we had chicken for dinner. I’m so going to strangle who ever was feeding him from their plate, cuz that’s how that sort of thing gets started. :P

I know he’ll grow out of this stuff if we continue to be consistent, but jeeeeeez. It’s been pretty hard core the last couple days. I’ve lost a dozen things because we had to stuff them into drawers and cubbys to keep him from playing with/eating/breaking them. James thinks he’s testing to see where he sits in the family hierarchy, I’ll need to do a little more reading on it I think.

Still love the little dufus of course. Even if he is a bit of a dingbat. ^_^
