And I’m a little scared. I try not to get haircuts too often, for several years I simply let it be since it was a sort of “generic” long hippie sort of shape, which really doesn’t require a very complicated upkeep.

Last year though, I decided to change it up by cutting my own bangs, and kinda screwed that up. So after a year of trying to grow some of it back out and trimming up the bits over my eyes, I’ve finally decided that the worst of it has grown out enough that I can have it fixed properly, and still have most of my hair left. I wouldn’t actually be all that concerned with it (I could’ve just gone with pinning it up until the awkward bits had grown out completely) except that I’m going to a wedding next month, and I’m supposed to do the maid of honor thing, and probably shouldn’t look like I got my hair cut at the home and garden center. (weedwacker ftl!)

There are many hair stylists out there that think long hair is just stupid, and ALWAYS want to chop you down to nothing for some strange reason. I haven’t encountered one of those for some time, but that’ mostly because I usually avoid going to begin with. I hope I find somebody who’s willing to just fix what I screwed up and leave it at that.

If it all goes well, I’ll post a before & after. If it doesn’t, then I guess I won’t be posting any photos with me in them for a few months Wish me luck
