My tale of woe

Our lovely new kitty Nibblr, has eaten through the power supply cord of our 4 day old Nintendo Wii, with a rental game still inside the console. I’ve read that there’s a sour apple spray you can get at pet stores that mostly made to keep them from licking wounds that need to be left alone to heal, and spraying the cords with that may discourage the behavior. Does anybody out there on the interwebs have any suggestions?

Update: It works! It took several weeks of spraying things we didn’t want him to eat (and spraying the kitty himself with a wee squirt gun every time caught chewing) but finally he outgrew it. :D
