Testing another theme, wonkiness may ensue

But I’m sure everybody’s used to a bit of wonkiness around here. *sigh*

Anywho, this time it’s Justin Tadlock’s new Options theme. It’s going to take me some time to slog through all the features, it’s got a LOT going on. This may add enough functionality to the site to prevent the need to switch to a different content management system, which would be fabulous. Not that switching would be all that terrible, I’ve done a test run of an import of all posts into Drupal and though it would require a little manual tweaking afterwards, it was pretty smooth.

Of course, I’d much rather stick with WordPress if I can. It’s tough because I really do love MNML, and can think of lots of fun ways to customize it without ruining the minimalism of it. I imagine a little visual tweaking might make Options look nice and minimal too, depending on what options I end up using.

I’m tempted to port the entire blog to a subdomain (for archival purposes) and start fresh. That might be a bit drastic, but as I go through everything I’m not finding many useful posts, just me babbling about whatever. It might be easier to be on topic in the right places if I do a full reboot of sorts.

Any thoughts?
