The site’s going to look funny for a bit this morning

Justin released a new version of Options yesterday, which is fabulous. It includes a proper blog page template among other things so that just gives me another way of moving the bulk of the bloggy stuff off the front page. The only problem is there’ve been a few changes to the css since I created the stylesheet I’m using, so I’m going to redo it  from the bottom up again and make sure everything’s all spiffy.

It actually wasn’t super problematic, just a few minor glitches that made me decide it was time for an overhaul. For instance there was actually no styling for some elements anymore, which either means I forgot to do it or the classes have changed a lot since I made my customizations (I’m 99.99% certain that’s what’s up).

I’ll have one of the defaults enabled for ease of reading while I work on my style off-site. There may be some bugginess if you access the site while I’m changing something later, but that shouldn’t be anything worse than something being the wrong colour.

I might even make another custom stylesheet later if my brain continues to function optimally today. I have been meaning to do a light version for summer or something. Toodles. :)

  1. Let me know when you get the new stylesheet up. I’d love to stop back by and see it.

Future upgrades should be much simpler, especially with CSS.

  2. Will do! The upgrade actually wasn’t bad at all. I’m pretty sure it’s just that I based my stylesheet on the very first version of the Dark stylesheet, and things have changed a bit since then. ;)
