Quick Viddler test
This is just a short video I made in WoW several moons ago. I’m using to to check out some Viddler features. I don’t know if this counts as machinima, since there’s really no editing or anything fancy, just a couple minutes of game footage. I guess it does sort of have a story to it, in a silent film kinda way. 
Lol isn’t waiting for the boat fun? And poor kitty missed the boat in the end! How sad. That made me miss playing WoW. My buddies are upset I don’t play any more and my character has 3k in gold on him that I wont give to them muahahah! Waiting till the expansion to perhaps play again.
So how does viddler work? Just runs in the back ground or something like Fraps?
Viddler is a bit like youtube, but they take higher quality videos and stuff (they might even do HD, but I might have that confused with Vimeo). It also supports commenting on the video itself (I don’t think I chose the embed option that shows that, oops) at specific time signatures so that the comment will pop up as your watching. I’m testing out different services just in case I get brave and decide to do a video podcast one of these days.
I miss WoW sometimes too. Right now I’m concentrating on Lord of the Rings Online. I’m pretty sure I’ll resub to WoW once wrath comees out too. What server did you used to play on?
Funny that you mentioned LotRO because I’m currently playing that too though I’m on the Arkenstone server. I like lotro because the graphics (especially the environmental ones) are pretty cool and since I have a SLi setup its a bit smoother since the first time I played it, which was a year ago (according to the account manager).
As for WoW umm I believe my character is on Misha?
Whoa, small (virtual) world huh? (heehee) I’ve a Loremaster on Gladden (trying desperately to get to level 25 so she can use her Bree horsie voucher) though I started on Brandywine in beta and Silverlode in open beta. I had to start over to join up with a friend after he started playing a little more recently.
I’m really looking forward to playing it with an actual graphics card one day, for the moment I’m running it on a macbook under bootcamp. It’s the reason I spend a bit more time in Windows these days than OSX. They’ve really done a good job of optimizing it so it actually runs pretty nice for me, just without some of the nicer effects like water and so forth.
